However, LHR for BA flies out of T5 whereas the Qantas lounge is in T3. For JFK it seems you can access the club as it's operated by BA.

As a QF-Club member you have Access to ALL BA-Lounges in T3 and in T5 in LHR, when you are on a BA flight.
QF has no lounge in LHR. It only uses the BA Lounge. The only difference is: If you are on a QF code you can access the BA Lounge in T3 (where the QF flight departs). If you are on a BA flight you have access to the Lounges in T3 or T5 depending were your flight will depart!!!
