As I'm sitting near the start of my longest Amtrak journey ever (NYP-CHI-SEA-PDX), I'm curious, what is your longest AM trip, and why did you take it?

I'll start, I'm going cross country by rail because I wanted to do it for it for a long time, and with my vacation plans badly disrupted by the winter snow storm, felt it was a great way to get home.
