Update -

Well, in this case "run of the house" was associated with an upgrade from Garden view to Ocean view. I ended up with a two room Ocean front suite in the historic building (where I asked to remain if upgraded). It's one of the nicer rooms I've received at the Royal Hawaiian.

As usually, the service at the Royal is exceptional.
