Any thoughts on setting up an account for a toddler? Does it seem like too much? Is there any advantage (pardon the pun) to getting him an AAdvantage account? If that's not enough questions from the newbie here, does anyone know if there is a bonus for signing someone else up? Might as well get bonus points if I'm signing my own son up! @:-)

Thanks everyone!

I am not aware of any bonus for signing someone up.
One thing to note is that if you use his miles for awards at aa.com, it will be expected that he pay for fees with a debit/credit card in his name. I was able to book for a family member by using there first name instead of mine on the part of the payment screen where you entered the credit card info. There was no problem. He doesn't have to fly every 18 month to keep the activity alive. There are other ways for him to earn miles. He might even enjoying watching movies from Netflix
