Grr, Grr, Grr! I am really kicking myself now

Ok, so I had a lovely flight in 61K on the Upper Deck, with an amazing crew, food, etc. So I can't really complain.

But then I was speaking to the CSD, who told me that if I'd been in Club to start with I'd have been 'straight in' to First as a Gold. And it was New First! So I missed out on New First for being tight-fisted and not spending 12,500 miles. Grr!
