It is? On American domestic flights?

I just took a look for the absolute, rock-bottom, cheapest r/t flight I could find TLV-NYC leaving on Jan 10 and returning on Jan 17. That turned out to be $844.75 (flying on BA, connecting in LHR).

Guess what? My hotel bill in NY would cost me more than that. Even most 2 1/2 star hotels in Manhattan are going to run more than $120.68 per night, with taxes included.

Now, change that from the rock-bottom r/t from TLV and look at the rock-bottom LAX-NYC flight for the same days. It costs $293.80.

Sorry, but airfare is not the major chunk of a vacation budget.
