Actually ....

last time I flew AS (back when they were still code-sharing with CO) they were offering Digi Players for a similiar fee.

IIRC, it was some kind of a tablet with several movies pre-loaded, and you would essentially have AVOD. Well Video On Demand, no songs, but the Audio was part of the movie

I'm not convinced this is part of Budget Travel, so I'm considering moving this thread to the CO forum, since you're complaining about CO charging - but it seems many are doing it.

Of course WN does not, but then again, they don't have ANY entertainment now that the FAs have toned it down - at least I haven't heard one of them sing on the few flights I was forced to take.
