BUY INSURANCE, people !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We always think that nothing can happen to us, no matter how small.. but it is really better to be safe than sorry.

I am guessing it doesn't make any difference if part of the flight is operated by United Express/Skywest?
Doesn't matter.. the ticket was issued as a Lufthansa ticket so Lufthansa's ticket rules apply... which means no refunds.

Had you purchased a fully refundable oneway ticket to europe, you would have been looking at a fare over $2500.00 plus taxes of $227 (per person). Then in this case, when you cancel, you get everything back. But you got a Webjet deal which clearly states the rules.

Your best bet is to deal with Webjet directly as they are the ones who issued you the ticket and to see if they can come up with a better offer than the one they gave.... which is most likely the change in dates with a $250 change penalty for travel next year. Its better than nothing at all.
