Thanks FAB for two great explanations ^ and regarding autolands, you answered the question I was gonna ask (and I like the Bo Derek reference tho personally (and I digress) but I never found her to be a 10-more like a 5 but like my signature says....)

Now, here's an ATC question.....

How long have you been flying as the reason I ask is that we all know that the current state of the ATC system is a joke and severely outdated and wondering if you had the "pleasure" of perhaps flying in the "dark daze" of ATC. Something tells me that "you're not that old" but I remember flying in the late 60's and 70's and from an outsider looking back, it seems like that is nothing like it is today in terms of positioning, weather, radar and etc and I look at it like the early days of NASA where no one knew if it would fly or blow up and you took your life in your hands.

Hope that makes sense and thanks as always.
