Would you do a tier points run just to barely go from Silver to Gold?
Just curious if it's even worth it to just barely make it form Silver to Gold. Especially considering that so many Gold privileges kick-in at much higher tier points levels than the basic 800 required to make Gold:

Gold Upgrade for Two... 2,500 tier points

Executive Club Silver Partner Card... 4,500 tier points

Concorde Room Card... 5,000 tier points

I mean if you had 790 points would you bother going out of your way to make it to 800?
