I've been using the Droid 2 Global since the beginning of the month. The newer Motorola user interface is definatly an improvement over the original Droid , in addition their is a noticable speed improvement on my D2Global. What's funny is that I was never too keen on the new keyboard, however with the addition of Swype, it doesn't relly make a differance to me. I also found it odd that the memory card that ships with the droid 2 global is half the size of the card that shipped with the Droid 1. One of the large differences that I noticed is that battery lasts less then a day for my use. I have resorted to purchasing a second battery and swaping them out halfway through the day. Anyway, I am very pleased with the Droid 2 global and am glad that I made the jump from the Droid 1.
I got a Droid 2 Global for Christmas. This is my first smartphone. I'm enjoying it. Let me ask you and other D2G users:
Did you buy an extended battery for it? I see that if I use the 3G for email, the battery gets used up pretty quickly. Is it worth getting the extended battery? Do you need to get a different cover for it?
Since I live in NYC and don't drive often, I'm using it on the go.
