I just got off the phone with customer service and asked them about the details of the promotion. Evidently it is based on how many stays you had last year. There is a code that if you stayed 5-6 days last year, and you stay 10-14 this year, you'll earn 5K points, 15+ stays will earn you 10K points (S76). They did mention that if you didn't stay there at all last year (I am a recent convert from Hilton), then you are not eligible for this promotion. Hopefully this isn't true, but perhaps Starwood Lurker can enlighten us
