Your best bet is the Starwood Amex Card. It is one of the best rewards credit cards in the market, and rivals (IMHO is better than) the airline credit cards. Why? How? It is all about the strengths of the Starwood Preferred Guest Program. 20+ airline partners, 25K miles for 20K points, hotels ranging from low tier (4 Points), to trendy (WHotels), to ultra luxurious (St. Regis). And how do you get access to all of this? Simply charge like crazy on the Starwood Card and watch those Starpoints rack-up. Yes, there is a fee in the second year, but it is worth it! Randy Peterson even gave this card a thumbs-up on InsideFlyer in July 2001 (or maybe it was June - not sure).
