Your insurance company might have to become involved at this point - I know in my case, AAA affiliate would process and recover against the (unbelievably inept) valet company; that's what you pay your insurance bills for, and you are usually even covered for rental car driving (minus the usual deductible) by most US auto insurance policies. Let them do the heavy lifting - and avoid allowing these failed primates-in-awaiting access to your vehicle in the future. (And, you might get the deductible paid by the "private driver".)
