I was at the Phoenician this weekend using my free weekend. They let me in the first day without even mentioning a charge (why would I expect a charge in a hotel where the rack rate is $600/night?). They tried to charge me the 2nd day. It did not make sense to pay $18 to work out for an hour so I just left. (I am not Plat.)

It seems to me the hotel's computer should be made to delete (credit or zero out) the gym charges from a Platinum member account. Also, it seems to me that the benefit should be applicable to everyone (maybe up to 2 people?) staying in Plat's room.

By the way, I have always admired SPG's system - a lot more "real-time" than others.
