Going through customs after arriving from NRT has always been painless at that time of day, especially if you are in Business Class of the front of coach.
Waiting to claim luggage can be slow at times, but if you have carry-on, it's a breeze.
I agree that the longest wait is usually for claimed luggage. If you're carrying on, you should be able to make it from the plane to the main terminal in <30 minutes.
