I would say it is normal for those who ignored the weather reports for the last 4 days, as well as ignored UA's published waiver, to be severly inconvenienced. Surely a 1K knows the most important factors for smooth travels are being proactive and having personal responsibility.

In my book, UA has been just wonderful over the past 5 days as I traveled roundtrip between LAX and JFK in ps F.
