Unfortunately not. Though - it would be awesome to have an external high quality cam connected through that port for Gen 1 iPad owners.

The rumor mill for iPad II is throwing about claims of a dual core CPU , higher def Retina screen for the iPad with a thinner body and two built in cams. ... One forward facing - and one rear. As for Skype - Fring makes that possible now on the iPhone - so I don't see why it wouldn't also work in iPad II.

just no love for the iPad gen one - even with the camera connection kit ( that I know of )

as for the rumors surrounding iPad II .... I'll buy that.
Now if it just came with dual rear facing cameras with a glasses free 3D screen - then I'd be very happy indeed.

I know - it's all about personal tastes. I likes the 3D.
