Virgin Blue was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in December 2003, and today is owned by majority shareholder Virgin Group, co-founder CEO Brett Godfrey, Virgin Blue staff and other shareholders.
Maybe their use of majority in that instance is a less accurate and more casual sense of 'the largest single slice of the pie' rather than the more widely-accepted '51% or greater'..? I'd welcome any clarification on the actual % split of Virgin Blue shares.
