I fly out of POP frequently and an airline there has a 2 hour before takeoff rule. I once was 5 minutes late and could not board.

Darben,I think that was pretty harsh post even considering his newer status in flyertalk. I mean yes his predicament could have been avoided, I dont think that kind of wording was neccesary. I agree with CynicAAl about that is good that airlines follow this strict cutoff policy. I have flown many flights where we have been stuck at the gate for upwards of 30 minutes because somebody was either cutting their check in time, going to the bathroom, getting food, or just being really lazy. I understand your fustration but I do think that 95% of the other airlines that will cost you more (United, Delta, etc), will not guarentee you a leinent CSA or Gate Agent for that matter.
