assuming the plane gets to MCO and yours goes out even delayed then CO wont remove 1 Confirmed person on that flight in order to board anyone else that is if they already have a seat assignment. CO can add its top people as confirmed onto the flight by Overbooking it and even probably assign them a seat that hasnt been taken yet but will end up having to VDB or IDB someone else in the end if everyone shows up who are Confirmed on teh flight.

If its possible for every seat to have already been preassigned (its not) then CO can Confirm someone else for the flight but wont beable to assign them a seat and if no one Vols for a VDB then that top flyer wont get on the flight

the worst part of the storm hasnt hit us yet so they say and most morning Outbounds from EWR have been Cxed already. But there could be birds sitting all over Fl so they can ferry them around down there to operate the flights they feel they must, plus there should be planes inbounding from IAH & CLE that may be sched to fly onto EWR from there so they should beable to fly if and when EWR is opened or CO might send them right back to where they came from if EWR wont be ready to take them

Hmm...is there a way to know where the plane is coming from?

I imagine there are lots of planes here at MCO that were supposed to fly to EWR today and were cancelled, assuming they got here in the first place, which I think they would have since things didn't start getting bad until afternoon. But I don't really know how these things work. There are five of us flying, all with confirmed seats (two of us with upgraded "extra leg room" seats). I think I'm more worried about being stuck *in* a plane on the ground than at the airport.

You know, there seem to be lots of seats on flights leaving Tuesday if you are willing to pay for them, but if you want to *change* to one, you are told there are no seats available. That seems wrong somehow....
