There is some very good news at that link.
Not anything in the article, but rather the comments below it. They are nearly 100% against the TSA. Browsing through about 50 of them, there was no "if it makes me safer" crowd at all. Nor a "don't like it, don't fly" crowd. ...and it's not just "those crazy right-wingers on Fox News." Other outlets picked up the story, and the comments are the same all over.
I think that in November, we the people spoke quite loudly that we will not tolerate a Congress that doesn't listen to us. We want representatives, not "politicians." I am cautiously optimistic that our new Congress will take that to heart and we will see big changes in the new year (change that we actually can believe in

), including scaling back the TSA. If not, we'll send another chunk of Washington back home in 2012, and this time we'll search for a new tenant for 1600 Penn as well.
My apologies for slightly bringing politics into this, but we can't neglect the reality that Nappy reports to Obama, and he could unilaterally order the NoS removed today, but chooses not to (busy on vacation). It may be that Bush's TSA set the wheels in motion, but Bush isn't in power now, and Obama is.
