At the airport, I got called up and the agent gives me a $350 voucher, saying that that is the bid that I had put in and she would only give me the amount that I had bid. I tell her that's incorrect, talk to the supervisor and then call delta's helpline, asking about what happened to the extra $50 that should have been on my voucher--Delta rep says that since I booked through Hotwire and the flight was changed Hotwire took $50 off the top as a penalty and I would have to take it up with them. Does this story make sense and how should I go about getting that $50? I feel a bit cheated since $400 was definitely my bid and also since the flight they put me on for Monday has been canceled and rerouted (on probably another overbooked flight). Thoughts?
Too me that Hotwire thing makes nosense....
