I'm flying SFO <-> ORD <-> LGA on Dec 28th, a day after the snowstorm out east, but I really don't need to be in NYC until the 30th.

Any suggestions on the best ways to give up my seat for a later flight to some poor soul stuck due to the snowstorm? I know I can volunteer when I check-in, but maybe I can do more / something beforehand?

Thats pretty much it, ime. When you get the gate maybe give the GA a smile. Just fyi, it might be a little harder to get the bump since you are connecting
