Well, after about 40min on hold with the online chat function on Orbitz, all was resolved and my ticket was refunded. They handled it very well.

Craz, as to your question, I've never personally flown DL or VX on LAX-JFK. What I do know is that DL recently began flying only Business Elite-equipped aircraft on this route, so it should be the same as their int'l 757s.

VX looks quite nice from the photos, and all my friends who fly that regularly (in economy) always rave about how awesome it is. Seats in F look nice and the F cabin only holds 8 pax, so I imagine the attention is pretty good. Not sure which of the pay-as-you-go perks from Y are free in F (wi-fi, food, booze, IFE), last I checked the VX website wasn't too clear. Their schedule isn't as extensive as UA/AA/CO/DL from LA to the NY area.

If you're used to paying for J and aren't particularly loyal to a carrier in particular, might be worth a try.
