Some properties debit the amount after checking in even though I have made he booking months earlier.

I've read somewhere here on FT that the hotel gives some kinda of a flexibility to guest, that's why I'm asking this.

Thx in advance.
I would expect any Room Res or Airline tjkt that I purchase that is a Non-refundable one, that it will be just that non-refundable if thats what the T&Cs are at time of purchase

There are many Hotels where Ive stayed that didnt charge my CC till I got there but I always assumed that if at any time after I Purchased said Res that my CC would be charged especially when it says it cant be Cancelled once Purchased, the only outstanding question is when will the Hotel charge my CC but they will evenyually get around to it

You can always CX it but keep in mind that when your CC is charged it wont be Disputable with yur CC, well it will be but youd lose once teh Hotel provides the proof that you purchased a non-refundable res and it stated if Cancelled from now onwards you will lose your $$
