A few questions are in order to best advise what to do in 24 hours and the Taxi questions.

1) Is this your first time in Rome?
2) Is budget an issue?
3) Do you like to walk?
4) Are you coming a long way and likely jet lagged?

The hotel has a great Spa (including Massages if you need them), just make reservations in advance and you are set.

On the Taxi/ Hotel Car-- If budget is not an issue this is the way to go (ask the hotel to send the Mercedes). A few dollars more (*about $45-50 USD was my charge about 3 weeks ago), this is about double a taxi. Benefits are working AC, Driver who speaks english, Charged to the ROOM and thus earns SPG points . No games on arrival, driver is waiting right outside customs. You can (and should) ask the driver to point out the tourist stuff on the way into town (tip him well) and you should see a lot of interesting stuff.

The hotel is across the Piazza from the Train Station so if you want to save on money and are light on luggage, take the train in from the Airport (not my recommendation).

On what to do-- Rome is a great city and lot will depend on your answers to the above questions.
