Right now, the local media is still trying to push the bad weather story, but they've moved the snow line well north of the City of Atlanta. The bottom line is they all appear to have gotten the weather forecast wrong. It is well above freezing here and if anything, it looks like rain, which may freeze late tonight, although the ground is too warm for the roads to be impacted.

Even yesterday evening, though, the forecasts were all calling for snow in the City. Had DL not scrubbed the flights and the weather report been accurate, many of us would be carping about stranded passengers on Christmas.

While it turned out to be unnecessary, looking at the decision based on the information available at the time the decision had to be made to best handle the passenger and airplane changes with minimal impact, DL may have done the right thing.
