Looking at possible segment runs for 2011, most of the low-cost, hub-hopping trips in the US (on DL) come as a "V" fare which, IIRC, currently counts for 0% miles and, thus, not valid segments. It would be nice if they could all pile in to the level-segment war-chest.

What's this V class you're talking about?
150% - F, A
175% – J, C, I, D, S
100% – B, Y
75% - M
50% - H, Q, K, L
25% - T, U

And T, the lowest promo fare, does earn a status segment.
