Well, it's not per se about understanding English, I'd prefer to have my parents on a flight that still has announcements also in Dutch, with KLM discontinuiing that, they're learning the *A game...

On my AMS-IAH and vv flights the last few years I have heard Dutch announcements, but I did not see a crewmember with a little dutch pin or something to distinguish her (no male voice, I think ;D) from the rest, plus some of her pronounciation was almost phonetic...
