CO has Foreign Language Speaker (FLS) flight attendants who are qualified in certain languages (Chinese (2 dialects), German, Spanish, French, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese and Portugese) and work in specific positions on the aircraft to assist non-English speaking passengers. They're trying to hire Arabic speaking crew for the new Cairo service.
ALL flight attendants bid monthly for their schedules according to personal preferences such as days off, productivity, layover cities, etc. If they are senior enough, they can hold a consistent route, or trade trips with each other.
