Just call and pay the fare difference plus change fee.

The change fee is only waived if you are calling to upgrade into an F seat as I understand it. So if you're elite and on a non-BF fare the change fee should be waived for the B-Up ticket but on a BF route or if non-elite I do not think it will be waived.
