Pre departure
Was check in quick and efficient? -- checked in via machine so I could change my Aeroplan number to my Asiana number as part of changing allegiance due to the reduced benefits in 2011. It was quick and efficient and worked perfectly.

Did you use priority security (if eligible) and if so, was it quick and efficient? -- Yes I did, and it was slow, and I would have done better going into the normal line at YUL since the "priority lane" once you pass through the door was backed up, and once you passed through the door the "non-priority lane" had five or six fast moving lines. A "DOH" moment and nothing much you can do except roll the dice.

Did you use the Maple Leaf lounge and if so, any feedback in regards to service, food and drinks? -- Yes I did, food was good, drinks good, all is good most of the time in the MLL.

Was priority boarding offered (if applicable to your status) and efficient? -- I arrived last from the lounge so do not know. Normally there is a free for all in YUL but I cannot comment for this flight.

If there was a delay, did the gate agent provide timely updates? There was a delay, the gate agent was surly and bored looking. They did not provide updates while I was there (which was not long), the sign was incorrect, and I asked so that I could return to the lounge. The lounge did send a "last call" alert to board the flight.

Onboard - J cabin:
Were the crew professional & well groomed? -- The crew was excellent, well groomed, friendly, professional, happy, and I'd give them a 10/10. The service director in particular was excellent.

If there was a delay, were you provided with timely updates? -- no delay after boarding.

Was the IFE activated on the ground? -- yes.

Was a pre-departure beverage offered on the ground? -- yes.

Did crew offer to hang your jacket? -- yes.

Were newspapers & menus distributed and meal orders taken (Please specify when meal orders were taken - on the ground or in the air)? -- yes, on the ground.

Approximately how long after take off did it take for the first meal service to be completed? (From takeoff to all items collected) -- pretty much immediately, short flight, cheese plate situation.

How was the quality of all the meals? -- good... you guys need to add a bit more fruit and a bit less cheese though. Lots of cheese plus four grapes does not make for a balanced plate. Remove one slice of cheese, double the grapes or add some other fruit is my recommendation. Otherwise it's cheese overload.

Did the cabin crew continiously top up the beverage of your choice throughout the flight? -- yes.

I want to reiterate how good the crew was. Makes the flight a delight. Too bad you slashed the Aeroplan benefits and am pushing me to other carriers because your product is good otherwise.

IFE actually worked without a reboot too. IT WAS A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE.
