While in flight training in a Cessna 172, we were doing circuits one afternoon and were on short final about a minute behind a CRJ. At around 300' AGL, we were pitched close to 90 degrees to the left. I automatically popped it back flat and continued the approach. Flight instructor and I didn't say a word until the climb out after the touch & go, when she quietly comments "ahem... thanks for recovering that".

FWIW, it is a lot scarier in a Dash than a Cessna.
