As far as I know there is no other hotel under any of our branded flags that charges for maid service over and above the room rate confirmed. This hotel is a franchise, but I don't know if the policy is one authorized by their corporate office, conjured up by the management onsite, or just indigenous to some hotels in the Bahamas. Obviously, if they are allowed to separate the charges, they have someone's permission in the Franchise Division, but why or how is not my department, so it would be inappropriate for me to offer any other comments.
