indeed, but when the problem is saying why so many french. french company pops to mind, whether or not they are near my workplace there is still quite a number of them. or unless u want to say otherwise (not many french is actually in town), is this what you really want to say?
ps. i see ur point now: so should i say french companies in the finance sector then.
