I am not trying to be on AC's side but looks like your attitude at check-in sealed your fate for the 2 middle seats...

I believe if it's a change from AC A320 to ex-CP A320, they have to redo the seat assignments.

Btw, upgradeable fares to LAS are not that bad. $505 (pre-tax) for the lowest V and I see that you paid $425 for L. Maybe it's worth the extra to upgrade to V next time.
