I've owned Tumi Alpha (or its equivalent) since '96 and it has served me well. What turned me onto the Rimowa was the light weight and those nifty dividers that keep clothes in place. Also, I've found the Tumi to get very dirty very quickly. It is also quite heavy. My new Tumi Alpha garment roller feels like it has clothing in it, even when empty.

I got some luggage covers from Carry Rite and I'm hoping that they will keep the luggage unscratched.
