Hi everyone,

I'm hoping to join a friend who's traveling out in Thailand in February, and I'm currently trying to work out the cheapest route to get there from London, England!

Obviously I could fly into Bangkok, but it could be interesting and much cheaper to fly into any of the surrounding countries, for example Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam or Malaysia, then just take a bus or train. For example it seems to be cheaper to fly into KUL than BKK.

I'm using Sky Scanner to look for flights, I'm pretty flexible with times. In fact I was probably going to book just a one-way flight out there, as I don't know how long I'll want to stay yet - unless this is stupidly uneconomical of course!

Any advice or tips would be very welcome.
