Well I have contacted the property regarding the comments over at the thread and they are aware of the feedback provided by our members.
Let me quote some of the statements given to me.
"Although this policy is to encourage sustainability awareness by recycling plastic and is not a policy to impose any charges, the reality is our new "outside the box" policy has unintentionally created some negative responses for the property as well as to the brand."
The property has re-named the campaign as "Green Key Recycling Program" and every guest that checks in at the property will be provided a clear explanation on this program. They would add $1 per key recycling fee on the guest folio only if the keys are not returned at the end of the departure date.
