I have a weekend reserved at the St Regis Monarch beach Next week... I have till the tenth to cancel. I have read reviews, and have decided that it is not a good location to waste a free weekend. I have stayed at the Bonaventure, Westin SCP, Sheraton and 4pts anaheim. Not the Century plaza St Regis etc. I am going to Mexico for a day, and plan to stay in LA of South of LA for Friday before my business.. I like to drive to So CAL sleep, do my business and drive home, or stay another night.. So as a plat where should I stay to get the best room, and service? I am thinking of the St Regis.. Except do they give suites? Or just grand deluxe? I appreciate any input, as I need to change my plans now.
Thanks

I just stayed at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina last weekend and was very impressed with the hotel. I did have a few hiccups getting the platinum amenity, but overall it was a nice hotel in a great location. We had a harbor view on the top floor, and if you have kids, they have a nice pool and arcade on site. The club lounge is closed for renovations right now, so they are giving Starwood Gold and Platinum members a full american breakfast buffet in the AM (which they normally charge $14.95 each for).
