I am a bit of a plane-spotter and noticed some unusual Singapore arrivals and departures into Auckland International Airport.

SQ7298 from Singapore/Sydney arrives at 2:20am Thursday and SQ7297 departs for Melbourne/Singapore at 4:50am Thursday.

I am not aware of Singapore offering trans-tasman flights (plus, why arrive from SYD and depart to MEL), and already operates two daily returns between AKL and SIN. Are these flights regulars because the timing is incredibly strange? Especially since the direct Singapore-Auckland flight goes through only a few hours earlier.
