i noticed similar thing on my SFO-ICN flight last month. going westward, UA usually flies thur alaska and along the shore of russia then thru north korea air space, but that day they flew a lot south, arriving EAST OF JAPAN, then make a sharp turn and fly across japan from East to West before landing in Seoul....was it because of jetstream too? or was it because of north korean tension?
