I know people love to hate on F in the 400s, but I actually find the seat much more comfortable than on the 700/800s. It's far more padded, and it even feels wider to me. That's funny because I've been on a few -400s that feel like they have concrete seats. Horrifically hard and very uncomfortable. The -900 has the best seats in the fleet, I think. Those certainly have the best tray tables! My laptop doesn't bounce all over when I try and type.
I do like row 3 on the -400s though. That's a nice quiet row with the wall behind you.
