Back in October a few of us on this board had just reached 100,000 Q-miles and were looking forward to immediate status hikes to SE. As I recall all of us who were showing 100K on the AC web site on or before 31 October made the cut
There was quite a bit of debate and conflicting information around:
(a) the actual cut-off date for posted mileage;
(b) the date of the last "Sunday Sweep" in the year that finds and promote all new 100Ks on the spot;
(c) whether mileage accumulated before (a) but not posted could be retroactively applied;
(d) if (c) is true whether this happens automatically or requires a call to the AP desk.
Now it is Nov 21, I'm curious to know if anyone has recorded over 100K Q-miles and is not showing as SE in the system (or 35K and not showing as Elite)
IMHO it is in AC's interests to publish the rules here as it might encourage some individuals to try that little bit harder to hike their status earlier -- kind of a “Get your status early challenge”
