ECML always seems to suffer OLE problems when other lines keep running....the lasting legacy of being electrified on the cheap

The section between Hitchin and Peterborough in particular and, in this case, relatively little to do with the weather - it happens on an irritatingly regular basis (says a regular commuter on this line). The difference this time is the ice making it difficult to repair.
There's actually been two OHLE incidents in succession. The Huntingdon problem was repaired last night - ahead of schedule, only for an FCC train to bring down wires near St Neots at about 10 this morning.
It does sound as if Grand Central and Hull Trains are diverting via Ely, but otherwise, it's all curtailed at Peterborough.
