Why don't you get a hotel room? Emirates can do that for you free of charge if your in DXB for 8 hours and less than 24 hours, that's if you took the earliest flight after you land in DXB to BKK.
EK384 connects with a much shorter stopover. If the flight choice has been made purely on price then no hotel etc. If the A380 (EK384), and any other intervening flights, are completely full their
may be a case but even then I doubt it as you could have booked earlier. No harm in calling them to ask though.
