Confirmed the 50K. I sent an email yesterday with all the details, the original link, promo code and application reference number and just got a response confirming the deal. Thanks OP, as soon as these miles post we can book our next mini-RTW!

Dear xxxxxx,

I would like to inform you that you have earned 25,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles on your Platinum Aeroplan Card. It will take upto six weeks for the bonus miles to be awarded.

Also, I would like to assure you that you will also be receiving an additional 25,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles after you spend $1,000 in your first 3 months of Card membership. It will take to eight weeks from the date the bonus miles were earned for the bonus to be awarded.
