This is another good lesson for anyone who is #1 on the upgade list to keep checking your pda, even after you board, as long as there's an empty seat up front. The last battlefied upgrade I got (which was before I made PPlat, but that's another story) didn't clear until after I had boarded. As soon as I saw my name and new seat number I grabbed my stuff, showed my pda to the FA, then took my seat. I didn't wait for (and never got) the new BP.

I wonder what would have happened if SCO/V had tried to claim his seat after the FA took it.
