Worst: A now defunked 5 star hotel in Paris where upon entering we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the hotel only to have that image smashed into pieces as the front desk person bellowed "N****R, grab their bags" to the black bellman. We canceled our reservation and left.

Best: Corres Barcelona. Small small B&B with amazing staff of 2 college aged day workers and a live in super senior citizen couple that works overnights playing chess and having "playful" banter about whatever is on TV. All for 86Euro a night.
